TOXIC MASCULINITY AND ITS EFFECT

Is it okay for men to cry?
The idea that men shouldn't cry is often linked to toxic masculinity which promotes harmful stereotypes about it that means to be a man. Everyone has emotions and it's important to feel comfortable expressing them.

Society often puts pressure on men to be strong and unemotional, which creates a culture where men feel like they have to suppress their emotions inorder to fit in. Some will even tend to tease them saying “chin up men aren't supposed to cry and show emotions,” which is quite devastating as they can't express themselves and release the tension build in them.

Suppressing emotions can lead to negative consequences. It can also lead to negative attitudes towards women,as well as lack of emotional intelligence and empathy. To men who are struggling with mental health issues,it is hard for them to open up, reach out for help and express their feelings as they are expected to "man up".

By challenging the idea that man shouldn't cry,we can help create a culture where everyone feels comfortable seeking help and support when they need it. By encouraging men to feel comfortable expressing their emotions,we can help break down these harmful stereotypes and promotes healthier attitudes towards gender and identity.

It's important to create a culture where everyone feels comfortable being themselves and express their emotions in a healthy and constructive way.
